Kirsteen has published very useful research on children caught in the middle of court processes and separation and was able to produce a bespoke piece of work from this research for my office focusing on domestic abuse. The work has proven really valuable in progressing my policy agenda in regard to domestic abuse. It was a real pleasure working with Kirsteen and I found her work to be insightful, of a high standard, and produced on time.

Kirsteen is one of the best consultants I have had the pleasure of working with. She brings excellent analytical and writing skills to every study and always completes tasks on-time and to the highest standard. She is adept at working on data from both the UK but also internationally and has unique insight into the socio-legal aspects of violence affecting children and children's well-being. Working with Kirsteen is wonderful and I highly recommend her as a consultant - in fact, I know I will be hiring her again!

I had the pleasure co-authoring a law article with Kirsteen Mackay regarding the use of coercion in the child maltreatment investigation field. Dr. Mackay’s skills, both intellectual and interpersonal, quickly became apparent. She conducts her research with a scientific mindset that betrays no predispositions and she is able to analyze, interpret, and write up her findings in a clear fashion. She was a joy to work with: respectful, fresh, and insightful. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. MacKay as an outstanding socio-legal research consultant.
